Join us for an evening of meditative music and words inspired by a longing for- and a celebration of peace. There will be performances of musical offerings and poetry around themes of political peace and the great cost at which it comes, and also the spiritual peace we all long for.
Come and witness ethereal music by Samual Sebastian Wesley, Amy Beach, Douglas Guesst, John Rutter, and Karl Jenkins, along with modern arrangements of the traditional favourites Down to the River to Pray and It Is Well With My Soul. These will be performed by members of our congregation and local music groups and paired with poetry expressing varied insights into the meaning and price of peace. The evening will last around ninety minutes, including an interval during which wine and snacks will be served.
This event is free to attend and you do not need a ticket.
