St Mary's Weekly Eco Tip: Conserving water
Looking for easy ways to cut down on water use? Small changes at home can make a big difference. Turn off the tap while brushing your teeth to save up to eight gallons a day. Collect water while waiting for it to heat or cool and reuse it for plants, cleaning, or filling the kettle. Fixing even small leaks can prevent hundreds of gallons of water from being wasted each month. Only run your dishwasher and washing machine with full loads and try watering plants early in the morning or late in the evening to reduce evaporation. Instead of letting the tap run when washing fruits and vegetables, use a bowl and reuse the water in your garden. Every drop counts, let’s all do our part.
