Arsenal Victory Parade, No 11am Service Sunday 31 May
This Sunday there will be a special parade around Arsenal’s home borough of Islington to celebrate winning the Premier League and, hopefully, UEFA Champions League. The parade will start at 2pm and will go up Upper Street past St Mary’s. Details of the full route can be found on arsenal.com.
Islington Council are expecting that upwards of 500,000 people will come to Islington to watch the parade and have advised us not to hold an 11am service at St Mary’s.
There will be a 9am said service of Holy Communion but there will be no children’s groups, refreshments or music. St Mary’s will close to the public at 10am for the rest of the day.
There won’t be any services at Hope Church on Sunday 31 May and it will be closed to the public for the entire day.
