St Mary Islington’s Care for Creation group is hosting two evening sessions on Trees and Rain on Thursdays 21 and 28 May at 7pm finishing at 9pm.
The first session will explore how trees use natural, but hidden, processes to support our ecosystem. Trees are part of the nature based response to climate change.
In the second session we consider the global water cycle and why global heating causes such intense rainstorms. We will learn how to make a cloud, and what happens to all the water in the UK.
We will introduce Tree Aid, and why St Mary’s supports this charity.
Refreshments served at 7.00pm at the rear of church.
