Today we give thanks for God’s creation and, in particular, St Mary’s Church being awarded a Gold Eco Church Award.

Caring for God’s creation is an important part of what it means to be a disciple of Christ. We take that seriously at St Mary’s. This Gold Eco Church award is the fruit of eight years of focus, hard work and prayer. At the time of being awarded it St Mary’s was only the third church in the Diocese of London to have received this award.

The service will be held in the St Mary's Church Gardens with The Bishop of Stepney. It will be followed by the unveiling of our gold award plaque and refreshments in the church.
