“It is Finished” were Jesus’ last words.
They mark the end of his earthly life but they are also a moment of transformation for the whole of creation.
In our meditations on Good Friday between the hours of 1pm and 3pm we will reflect together in words, music and silence on the events of this day, their meanings for those around Jesus then and for ourselves today. In reflecting on the “It is finished” of Good Friday we prepare to know more deeply the new and risen life of Easter.
Short homilies will be offered by Simon Harvey, Liz Salmon, Mike Bartholomew-Biggs and Caroline Shuttleworth.
These meditations follow on immediately after the united service.
