Flat sharing and the local church

We're aware that for many people in Islington, accommodation is a big problem. It concerns us that for many families in our own parish, decent housing is unaffordable. There are very large waiting lists for social housing and for young single people looking for a room, the situation is especially difficult.

We recently came across Christian FlatShare, a non-profit organisation run by London churches, which is helping accommodation seekers connect with the local church community. The service is free (donations are welcomed) and we're glad to publicise it.

Of course, projects like this aren't a solution to the growing crisis of insufficient affordable social housing. We seek a more just housing situation for every person, not just Christians.
