St Mary's Primary one of Islington's best

January 5, 2017 Simon Harvey

Huge congratulations to the students, staff and especially to headteacher Genevieve Prayag for leading St Mary’s to one of the top spots in the school performance tables. Students at St Mary’s were ranked well above the national average in reading, writing and maths. Overall, the school was in the top three of Islington’s fifty-six schools.

Read the detail of St Mary's amazing performance and the summary tables of all Islington's schools.

We want to spread the word to help people in our area know what a great education our church school provides.

In a public five-star review on Google, parent Sara wrote,

My daughter joined St. Mary's last year and hasn't looked back. The staff work so hard and the children obviously respond brilliantly - check out their SATs results! More important though is daily life at the school, which seems to be full of warmth, kindness, focussed hard work, and FUN!

As a church, we continue to invest in our school. Simon Harvey and Amy Rodwell serve on the governing body.  Other church members offer reading support. Tim Broadbent is a regular visitor and now Jakub Tomášek has started a school choir.

Terrific work, St Mary's. What a future our children have!
