Our Ministry Assistant, Adam Hobson, is moving on to a new role in the chaplaincy of King's College London. For the last year, Adam has been with us on the Stepney Intern Scheme. This scheme allows young people to take substantial time in a parish setting to explore the possibilities of vocations to ministry of all kinds.
We've really appreciated the way that Adam has contributed to the life of St Mary's. He has brought substantial pastoral skills to the 20s and 30s group and in one-to-one conversations of support and encouragement. Adam co-ordinated the volunteers at our recent Soul in the City neighbourhood festival.
Thanks to Adam, we now know much more about the recent history of St Mary's. He's been working to digitize our archives and to enable the paper records to be safely stored at the London Metropolitan Archive.
We know that Adam will be an invaluable support to the students at King's as he works in the chaplaincy. We're really pleased that Adam's new role means that he can continue to be a member of St Mary's in the coming year, so after a short summer break on the family farm in Ireland, we will see him return to us.
