Groups for adults

Homegroups meet weekly or fortnightly. Get to know a smaller circle of people and learn together. We allow our homegroups to choose their own style and format, rather than prescribing a template for meetings. That means that some groups focus on courses or learning from the Bible. Others emphasise prayer or mutual support. Get in touch if you would like to explore joining a group and we'll gladly give you more details.

20s and 30s

Our group for younger adult members of St Mary's allows people to make friends and explore issues that are relevant. Dates for this year’s meetings are: 14 April, 19 May, 16 June, 21 July, 15 September, 20 October and 17 November.

Midweek Bible study

Every Wednesday in term time, this group meets in the Prayer Chapel at church for a relaxed exploration of a passage in the Bible. Tea, coffee and biscuits from 10am, Bible study 10.30-11.30am.

Lunch for the young at heart

Our hospitable church crypt is well equipped with a professional kitchen where a team of volunteers prepare tasty meals for older members to share. Lunches are full of fun and a great way for people to meet friends - for the over 60s only.

Daily morning prayer

Monday to Saturday, except Bank Holidays, we meet in the prayer chapel at 9:30am for a half-hour prayer service using the Church of England's Daily Prayer. Though the words of the service are formal, the meeting is relaxed and welcoming. We always include space to discuss and reflect upon the Bible passages together.
