Remembering the V1 bomb attack on Islington 70 years ago

Plaque on the north end of Compton Terrace
At 12.46pm, on 27 June 1944, twenty six people were killed in Islington by a V1 'doodlebug', which fell from the sky to cause a new kind of devastation and terror.

We will remember the event this Friday, and will pray especially for all civilians under threat of rocket attacks today.
