All that we did was offered freely, to everyone, at no cost.

People ask us why? Well, we think our church serves a remarkable neighbourhood. Though we're known far and wide, we always believe that our locality really focusses our mission for God among real lives.

Working with a range of brilliant partners, we want the heart of Islington to be a place of hospitality and welcome for everyone, a place where lives change for good.

If you were one of the thousands that enjoyed the cafe, children's and youth workshops, opera, family fun day, talent show, classical concert or the worship, you might spot yourself in the video.

Many thanks to over seventy volunteer Festival Makers and our brilliant sponsors: Almeida TheatreArsenal FCCôte BrasserieDr BikeGirl Guiding London NEGodfrey's & Co, London Fire Brigade (Islington), The Morris TrustSavillsSt Mary Islington Community PartnershipSwing Patrol, Neal's Yard.

Soul in the City 2013 was also generously funded by Islington, through the Local Initiatives Fund, the Arimathea Trust and The Morris Charitable Trust.
