Advent and Christmas 2012

The church’s year begins with the promises of Advent, longing and looking forward to the coming of God. It’s traditionally a time of spiritual preparation, getting ourselves ready and receptive.

At Christmas, we share in all the joy of the fulfilment of God’s promise as he comes to us in the Christ-child. This year, we’ll be celebrating in a variety of ways and making a real festival of Christmas.

The impact of Christmas continues into the season of Epiphany, which lasts throughout January. Here, we explore the implications of Christ’s birth and wonder with shepherds and wise men at its meaning for us all.
